From now until Christmas day, I will be posting a list of twenty-five tips and ideas that will help you get through the holiday season. On Christmas day I will have offered you over six hundred ideas that you can enjoy alone or with family and friends.

I can’t imagine that most of us will be hosting a gathering this year (unless it’s just with your immediate family). I wanted to try and have something that everyone could benefit from during the twenty-five days of Christmas series, and that’s one of the main reasons why I added party planning series even though we are experiencing a pandemic. This checklist will make sure that you’re on the right track if you’re planning a party this year. Even if you’re not having a gathering maybe you can plan a special dinner for you family the way you would if you invited guest over. Or, if you’re really creative maybe you can use this list to host a virtual event. You may have to tweak it a bit but it might be kind of fun and it might challenge you to go through the list to plan a virtual gathering for a list that was created for an in person get together.

I have a long history with mental illness. Overcoming depression made me realize my own resilience. It also made it clear that I wasn’t taking care of myself. I believe that in order for us to fully engage with ourselves and others we have to make time for self-love through our self-care habits. My goal with this blog is to encourage women in my age group to make time for self-care daily.
