From now until Christmas day, I will be posting a list of twenty-five tips and ideas that will help you get through the holiday season. On Christmas day I will have offered you over six hundred ideas that you can enjoy alone or with family and friends.

I think this is a great activity for the holiday season and you’ll be making unforgettable memories with your family. I still remember the Christmas ornament that I made in 4th grade that was hung on our tree until it fell apart when I was in high school. Fourth grade was MANY years ago so I don’t remember all the details. I do remember that we added cinnamon and we used cookie cutters for the shape. I used the bell cutter and the holly leaf cutter, and when we hung it on the tree you could smell the cinnamon in the house. The scent lasted for years but the ornament started to slowly break apart when I was in high school so we had to get rid of it. It was kind of emotional because I made them with my favorite teacher I should have kept a small piece as a keepsake.

My story is proof that DIY projects can create everlasting memories and I provided a list of some really interesting options for your tree this year. Even if you’re tree is already up, you can still engage in this activity or keep this list and check off the ones the you would like to create for Christmas 2021. Feel free to share with someone. Spread the joy.

Just in case you want to print it, here is the PRINTABLE in PDF format

I have a long history with mental illness. Overcoming depression made me realize my own resilience. It also made it clear that I wasn’t taking care of myself. I believe that in order for us to fully engage with ourselves and others we have to make time for self-love through our self-care habits. My goal with this blog is to encourage women in my age group to make time for self-care daily.
