Blogmas Twenty-Five Days of Christmas: The ULTIMATE Christmas Inspired Self-Care Ideas

Screen shot from vectorstock.com

From now until Christmas day, I will be posting a list of twenty-five tips and ideas that will help you get through the holiday season. On Christmas day I will have offered you over six hundred ideas that you can enjoy alone or with family and friends.

I don’t think I could have created the blogmas series without adding self-care to the list. It’s not only because this is a self-care inspired blog, but the holiday season can be one of the busiest and most stressful times of the year. Self-care is needed. I felt that adding a Christmas spin to it was fitting and festive. I challenge you to try and get through all twenty-five (if you can) you’ll be grateful that you did. I promise you, I did not plan for this to be released on the same day with my self-care challenges lol. I did think about taking a few ideas from this list to use for the challenges but I decided to challenge myself and come up with new ideas for the weekly challenges. I may however use a few of these ideas for my challenges during the week of Christmas.

Some of the ideas on this list were new to me, like the cozy yoga (I didn’t know that was a thing). I added wrapping gifts to the list because it’s really therapeutic to me for some reason. In my mind it allows me to be creative and I love that. It may be a nightmare for some people but I’m hoping there are others out there like me who feel the same way about wrapping presents.

Just in case you want to print it, here is the PRINTABLE in PDF format.

Let me know how many you were able to accomplish. While we are on the topic of self-care, on January 3rd I will be launching my weekly Newsletter in addition to my Self-care Accountability Worksheet. The worksheet will act as a supplement to my weekly self-care challenges. The purpose is to help you stay on track with your daily self-care activities. If you’re interested, send me an email at Tam33ks@yahoo.com. The worksheets are FREE but only available to those who sign-up for the Newsletter. I promise I will not spam you, the emails will only be sent out once per week.

I have a long history with mental illness. Overcoming depression made me realize my own resilience. It also made it clear that I wasn’t taking care of myself. I believe that in order for us to fully engage with ourselves and others we have to make time for self-love through our self-care habits. My goal with this blog is to encourage women in my age group to make time for self-care daily.

  1. I want to try many of the things on that list!! And I need to, too. This holiday season has been really hard! You gave me a lot of great things that will help – I’m going to aim for TWO Hallmark movie marathons, with hot chocolate and maybe even whipped cream, and I want to do some Christmas baking. I’m already reading Christmas books, so I will keep that going. Hopefully, I will manage to acquire a Christmas-scented candle, too. I’m going to start with those and see how I do, then consider more. Will report back!
